25th Annual Marine Corp Luncheon

November 10, 2014

Nearly 2,000 active duty and former Marines attend the BCEC for the Boston Semper Fidelis Society’s 25th annual celebration of the Marine Corps birthday, and to honor fallen Bay State service members. There is a traditional cake cutting ceremony, where the youngest and oldest attendees cut the cake with a sword.

iPad Summit 2014

November 12 – 14, 2014

This is a three day conference. EdTech Teacher host regional and national conferences to bring together the educational technology community. The organization's mission is to help teachers and schools leverage technology to create student-centered, inquiry-based learning environments.

United Way Thanksgiving Project

November 13-17, 2014

This is a volunteer event hosted by the United Way of Massachusetts and the Merrimack Valley. Many volunteers will come and work together to provide bags of food to 5,000 low income families throughout the areas of Greater Boston, South Shore and Merrimack Valley. 

American College of Rheumatology 2014 Annual Scientific Meeting

November 16 – 19, 2014

The American College of Rheumatology is an organization of and for physicians, health professionals, and scientists that advances rheumatology through programs of education, research, advocacy and practice support that foster excellence in the care of people with arthritis and rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. 

National Council for the Social Studies 2014 Annual Conference

November 21 – 23, 2014

The mission of National Council for the Social Studies is to provide leadership, service, and support for all social studies educators. Founded in 1921, National Council for the Social Studies has grown to be the largest association in the country devoted solely to social studies education.

Duke Forward

November 22, 2014

Duke Forward is a fundraising campaign run by Duke University, which has presently raised $2.5 billion toward its goal of $3.25 billion. These alumni events, celebrating the success of the campaign, are held across the United States and the globe, with this event targeting Cornell alumni residing in New England. Attendees will have the chance to meet and mingle with students and faculty who are making a difference in Durham, NC and around the globe.

Pie in the Sky

November 25 – 26, 2014

500 volunteers will deliver over 14,000 pies which will be donated by more than 150 of Boston's finest bakers.

Materials Research Society Fall Meeting 2014

November 30 – December 5, 2014

Founded in 1973, MRS now consists of over 15,100 members from the United States -- as well as nearly 70 other countries. The Society is different from that of single discipline professional societies because it encourages communication and technical information exchange across the various fields of science affecting materials. MRS sponsors two major annual Meetings offering approximately 75 topical symposia.
